2023 ASCA Annual Conference COVID-19 Protocols
ASCA has been working closely to follow CDC guidance on recommended COVID-19 safety protocols. In order to complete with these recommendations and offer an in-person experience that is as safe as possible, the following guidelines will be implemented during the ASCA 2023 Annual Conference:
- Vaccinations (as of 09/22:)
In keeping with the Association’s duty to care and responsibility as host, ASCA leadership strongly encourages all participants — whether a presenter, attendee, exhibitor, staffer, guest, or vendor — to be fully vaccinated. The CDC Vaccines website provides definitions of “Fully Vaccinated” and “Up To Date”. Attendees are asked to abide by any health and safety measures put in place by the hotel, convention center, City of Portland, and/or any other locations visited. Please note this is subject to change. - Face Coverings (as of 09/22:)

Presenters will be positioned 12 feet from the front row and can be unmasked when presenting to increase the accessibility and inclusion of sessions. - Hand sanitizer:
Hand sanitation stations will be throughout the property. Personal sanitation bottles will be available. - Seating:
Seating within meeting spaces will follow social distancing guidelines whenever feasible. - Disinfecting:
Scheduled disinfecting will occur in meeting rooms and all high-touch areas as much as possible. - Microphones:
Microphones in meeting spaces will be disinfected between sessions, or replaced by sanitized mics.
